Shouldn't it be a building code violation to construct a house in Arkansas with no interior rooms? Every room in our house has an exterior wall! We have decided that the safest places in the house during bad weather are either our closet (as long as you remember to take the sewing machine off the top shelf!) or the laundry room. We usually opt for laundry room because we can stick the kids in the storage space below the stairs that we have dubbed "The Hidey Hole". As you can tell, it's a very small, unfinished space, but they love it! In fact, they are usually not ready to come out after the storms pass.
