BCS = Big Chance Squandered

It's sad but true. While a 10-2 season is still great, it's a little bittersweet. We just got home from the roller coaster ride that was the Sugar Bowl. It was up (pregame), and down (first half), and up (second half), and then most decidedly down (final minute).
One thing that did not disappoint was the support of the Hog fans. The Razorbacks literally took over New Orleans. We made some signs, and one that supposedly was on ESPN pregame promos read "Welcome to the Pig Easy!" We heard spontaneous Hog Calls from Bourbon Street to Cafe Du Monde. Let the good times roll!
Since one afternoon in downtown NOLA was plenty for us, we stayed in Mandeville. It is a little gem just north of NO across Lake Pontchartrain that reminded Jeff and me of Key West. Tyler found us a nice house to rent, and the property owners left us some great restaurant suggestions. The town was comparably quaint and perfect for us. In spite of the loss, we had a good time with good friends.
