The Littlest Snowflake

Every year the second graders at our school put on a big production.  Nathan was in second grade the year our new school opened. He played the xylophone and sang a Hanukkah song. (See pic here.) This year, it was Ashley's turn. She tried out for a solo and speaking part. She was thrilled to be chosen for the lead part - The Littlest Snowflake - in a cute little musical called "Flakes!"  This was all pre-crash, so we were a little nervous about how things would go on stage with crutches and/or a wheelchair. Her music teacher was wonderful in working with her! While I'm mentioning it, her regular teacher, school nurse, classmates, and other friends have been super helpful to us throughout all of this.

On the Thursday before school got out, they had two morning performances for the other grades, lunch, and Christmas parties. That night was the big performance for families. The dining room was packed an hour before show time! All of the kids did great!
