It's always hard to make back-to-back trips to Fayetteville, and since we've had the kids, it's rare that we even try. We employed a new strategy this year that turned out to be successful: divide and conquer! (That's pretty much our approach to parenting in general.) We planned for Jennifer and me to take the big ones (Will and Nate) to the Ole Miss game while Jeff and Tyler stayed at the condo with the little ones (Evan and Ashley) and then vice versa for the Vandy game.
The Ole Miss game turned out to be early and wet. We didn't tailgate and left after the first rain delay.
This weekend brought beautiful fall weather to Fayetteville! I took lots of pictures of the kids including this perfect Charlie Brown reenactment between Nate and Will: Good grief!
To burn off some of the kids' energy (and some of the massive amounts of chili that we consumed), Jeff and I took all four of them for a LONG walk around campus. We stopped for some photo ops along the way:
The kids got these retractable signs from a guy in The Pit and had a blast with them for the rest of the day. They held them up at passers-by before the game, and then we had to keep them from whacking our neighbors with them during the game.We had a really good weekend and most likely wrapped up our travels to NWA for the year. Good times!
