We spent this beautiful Sunday afternoon climbing Pinnacle Mountain. This was Ashley's first trip to the top. The hike did not get off to a good start as she fell and bruised her knee literally one step from the trail head. After we paused for a moment to evaluate the injury and wonder what we had gotten ourselves in to, we headed up the mountain. The rest of the hike was rather uneventful. We stopped for photo ops at the trail markers: Nathan at the "9" and Ashley at the "5". 
Today's hike was not just for exercise and enjoying the weather, we're in vacation preparation mode around here. We're going to Hawaii in two weeks!! We are staying in Honolulu and plan to go on some hikes including Diamondhead.I also thought it would be a good idea to teach Ashley how to snorkel before we go. She strapped on the fins and snorkel and off she went! In Nathan's words, "She's a natural!" Just like her brother. : )
